Anne Hathaway turned down the role of Barbie, it wouldn’t be Margot Robbie

Many times we are not happy with the roles that bring to the screen our favorite characters, because, because they are so important inside our head, we get an image that is not always the one we want or we had foreseen. Even in the image of Barbie, you imagine the beautiful Anne Hathaway as the Barbie doll instead of the role would have been played by Margot Robbie?

There are many things that happen in the world of show business, what is known, is that possibly the story of Barbie and the famous actress would be very different if the brunette had starred, although we do not even know if she would have hair of that shade for the alleged role.

In an interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actress recalled her time trying out Barbieland and admitted that it would never have been as successful as the 2023 film.

“What’s exciting about what Greta, Margot and that phenomenal team did is that they hit the mark,” The Devil Wears Prada actress said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “Bull’s-eye made the whole world reach this level of ecstasy. Now imagine that version…so much energy, so much anticipation, so much excitement…but it’s not the right version. In fact, I consider it lucky that [his version wasn’t made].”
“If I thought the version I was attached to could have done that, I might feel differently about it, but I really think his movie was the best version possible,” she continued. “It’s easy to be excited and happy [for them]. I love seeing women do well. To have them do so well, so undeniably that they had that they achieved new records….. Come on! I think it will probably make things better.
