Adele announces that she suffers from severe depression

Adele recently spoke about the severe depression she suffers from and how much living in Los Angeles has helped her.

“I have very strong seasonal depression, so the weather (in Los Angeles) is good for me. Sometimes it’s strange, because I’m very British. Because it’s a little harder for me to get out nowadays, what I like most about Los Angeles is that everyone goes to each other’s houses. I like that,” revealed the 35-year-old singer.

Seasonal affective disorder, or seasonal depression, “comes and goes with the seasons. It usually begins in late fall and early winter and disappears during the spring and summer,” explains MedlinePlus, the website of the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

We must remember that mental health is of the utmost importance and asking for help is not wrong, since we do not all have the same opportunities and we must be well with ourselves to be well with our environment.
