In an interview with The Daily Mail, Jada claimed that her relationship with Will Smith is in a good place and that it was possibly the slapping of Chris Rock that saved their marriage.

After so many years of trying to figure out if I will definitely leave Will, it took that slap to make me realize that I will never leave him. Who knows where our relationship would be if that didn’t happen? I call it ‘the holy slap in the face’ because of all the good things that have come after it.

Recall that at the time of the incident, the press was all over the couple, making Jada give some statements like she was separated from Will Smith or kind of hints that she didn’t love him, so to see that the couple is together and stable again is hopefully good news for the whole family. This scandal triggered that the two were separated but had not revealed it, but in an interview, Jada revealed that they had decided to “go their separate ways in order to grow and evolve as individuals”.
