It has become fashionable to turn into a movie what at some point was a game for us, especially when it comes to video games, because the Minecraft movie is a reality and more and more people are joining the project and it has already attracted attention.
A few years ago there was a Lego movie, which was a success and of course, this year we had 2 very interesting movies from brands. We had Mattel with Barbie, which became the highest grossing movie in history and on the other hand there was FNAT, a movie based on a video game that enchanted the audience.
If the movies we have seen at this time and the response to new movies we will have with Nintendo and even Mattel was not enough, the arrival of Minecraft joins perfectly, but now the story is expected to be of the most interesting so that we will have more movie options.
Wednesday star joins cast of new Minecraft movie
According to a recent report from Deadline, Emma Myers, who plays Enid Sinclair, Jenna Ortega’s sidekick in the Wednesday story, has signed a deal with Warner Bros. and Legendary to star in the movie based on the best-selling video game in history. According to a previous report, Peacemaker actress Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Eugene Hansen were also signed days ago, as well as the news that Jason Momoa would be a key part of the film.
Under the direction of Jared Hess, the film is expected to begin production in New Zealand in late December. It’s worth mentioning that a film based on Minecraft has been in the works since 2014 and has been helmed by numerous screenwriters and directors, including Stranger Things’ Shawn Levy and Rob McElhenney.
What do you think about it? Would you like to see a new Minecraft movie? If it wasn’t Minecraft, what live action movie would you like to see?
