After the death of the British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, the corgis in her care came under the guardianship of Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who has revealed that she performs a curious ritual so that the canines do not forget their former owner.
Attending the ‘Lorraine‘ program, the Duchess of York shared that the Queen’s dogs are doing very well, but they occasionally fight with their companions: “Norfolk terriers tend to be territorial. But corgis are bigger, so sometimes they exchange some blows“.
In addition, Ferguson also shared that she has a ritual that helps Muick and Sandy, the late queen’s corgis, not forget her, and that is rewarding them on occasion with small pieces of their digestive cookies, a gesture that continued from the former monarch.
“When I do that, they come running because they remember her, their nose, and her little hands… She was so sweet! So I keep the ritual alive“, the Duchess said, adding that unlike the Queen, she gets some scolding for doing it, claiming she feeds them too much.
