Calling all BLACKPINK stans! Wave those lightsticks, because the BLACKPINK girls are here to stay and slay for some more time! After months of rumors, we can all breathe easy. The fierce quartet, made up of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé, has decided to stay together as a group under their agency YG Entertainment.
It’s been a crazy rumors rollercoaster, and the behind-the-scenes negotiations are something we’ll never know. But one thing’s for sure: offers for potential other label deals (including agreements in America) popped out as soon as the BP gang concluded their initial contracts in August this year. The gossip mills have been working overtime. But now, it’s official, BLACKPINK stays united!
After the contract renewal announcement, company YG Entertainment shared the good news. This is what they had to say:
“BLACKPINK will continue to do its best to shine more brightly in the world music market as an artist representing K-POP, and we will continue to give their unwavering support and faith in their actions.”
But hold up, the length of this glam-packed agreement comes with some things to take into consideration! Even though BLACKPINK will continue group activities within YG Entertainment, it’s been stated that two members have finalized their individual contracts while discussions with the other two are still ongoing. The result? BLACKPINK is a reality, but their solo destiny is still a secret.
Even though all 4 members will most likely not stay under YG for their solo endeavors, they’ll fortunately remain as a group. So, it’s time to pop the champagne and celebrate, Blinks (that’s the name BLACKPINK fans wear proudly). The BP girls aren’t just in our area – they’re here to continue to rule the world.
