In a recent video for ODG where some children will have the chance to ask some questions, ITZY‘s Chaeryeong opened up about the difficulties of always having cameras in her face and how she has been able to cope with this overwhelming situation that her work as a K-Pop idol imposes on her.
Chaeryong was shocked when a child asked her how she was so confident and did not cover her face when she was being photographed unexpectedly. The singer confessed, “I don’t cover my face because I’m not supposed to; it’s part of my job, but I have felt the need to cover my face on many occasions“.
Regarding the confident attitude, the idol revealed that she is not a completely self-confident person; even when she sees photos in the articles, she usually feels exposed and insecure. However, she has tried to improve that aspect since her work requires it.
“I must love myself in order to receive love“, said Chaeryong, who explained the constant pressures K-Pop idols are under as they are constantly worried about looking good in photos, showing a good attitude, having a nice personality, and meeting beauty standards.
