During a press conference with the Critics Choice Association, renowned actor Tom Holland revealed his condition to return to be Spider-Man with Marvel in a fourth installment of the franchise, ensuring that he really cares about the character and the destiny it will take in the future.
Holland confessed, “I really want to protect his legacy, so I won’t do another movie just for the sake of it; it has to be worth it for the character“, making it clear that his main condition to play Peter Parker again is to have an important and meaningful story, not one without a particular and special purpose.
“For a long time, I have been actively participating in conversations about what a fourth interpretation of my character might look like, but we have not yet come up with something worthwhile“, said the actor, who also said, “I feel immensely fortunate to have been able to work in a franchise that has improved with each film“.
It should be noted that the British actor has been in the skin of the arachnid hero in three installments: ‘Spider-Man: Back Home‘ (2017), ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home‘ (2019), and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘ (2021), but despite being open to the idea of a fourth, they have not achieved a material that follows the conditions of Holland.
