Beyoncé recently dropped her cinematic masterpiece, “Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé.” The film, which shows the behind-the-scenes and the best bits and pieces of Queen Bey’s concert, is on the way to get a juicy 22 to 24 million dollars.
These jaw-dropping results make it the largest December opening in the last two decades, at least in the United States! But that’s not all, oh no! As y’all know, Yoncé is a global pop star, so the “Renaissance” is also making moves around the world. Its global release is expected to earn another 20 million dollars, which gives a total opening of around 40 to 44 million dollars.
Now, what’s impressive about it? Generally, the post-Thanksgiving box office is not the most impressive. Still, that’s not the case for Beyoncé, and her film, which has been already praised by the critics, is getting that green! That’s the best of both worlds: the fans and the experts’ opinion love the film.
As if that wasn’t enough, the film also had two major premieres in London and Los Angeles. Artists and celebs gathered together to enjoy the Renaissance experience, including the likes of Taylor Swift, Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland, and Lizzo. The theme was “cozy opulence,” with attendees wearing their best silver or white attires and Beyoncé serving the fiercest looks for her own black carpet.
The release of the film globally also came with an exclusive song. Bey decided to drop “MY HOUSE,” which celebrates the Renaissance movie. Fans have been speculating this could be the continuation of the era, which many thought had been over already as the tour concluded earlier this year.
