The 2023 MAMA Awards finished its two-day award ceremonies, acknowledging some of the most popular and quality kpop acts, as well as giving the finest performances. The event was held in Japan at the Tokyo Dome. This was the first time a South Korean event is hosted in such a massive venue.
Now, day 2 clearly had two big winners: on one hand, we’ve got NewJeans. The girls took home two very important Daesangs (Grand Prizes) this year, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for the mega-bop “Ditto.” On the other hand, SEVENTEEN was given the Album of the Year Grand Prize, thanks to their collection of hits, the “FML” mini-album.
