A few months ago it was announced that a movie of Taylor Swift’s concert would be released and fans could not contain their excitement, becoming a trend on social networks, where fans would sing and have a good time with Taylor Swift in the background and no doubt, that inspired more artists to want to do the same.
Shortly after Swift’s movie came out, BeyoncĂ© announced that she would be doing the same. She would have her tour movie, which would be shown in theaters around the world and was expected to be as successful as her ticket sales, but the news would not be as favorable as expected.
Beyonce’s new movie would be a box office failure
The numbers that were projected for Beyonce’s release are not at all what was expected and there are already specialized sites that have talked about it and have even made some projections, all with the pre-sale of tickets that would have had a very different attitude than what happened with Taylor Swift.
The likelihood that “Renaissance” will outperform Taylor Swift’s “Eras” documentary, which debuted with a $92 million opening weekend and has now brought in $180 million domestically, has decreased. According to Deadline, “Renaissance” is expected to open at a minimum of $15 million, although “it could be lower.”
“Renaissance: A Film by BeyoncĂ©” will be released around the world on Friday, December 1, 2023, the date of World AIDS Day, which has given a much larger meaning to the purpose of her critically acclaimed tour, which has recently ended with a very happy audience and a lot of social media content.
What do you think about it? Would you go to a movie theater to see Beyonce’s new film?
