BABYMONSTER, one of Kpop’s rookie groups, finally dropped their first single last week. “BATTER UP” came with delays and drama along the way, but for a moment it seemed like it all was over, until now. It looks like YG Entertainment‘s first girl group since BLACKPINK is not free from controversy.
So what’s the buzz all about? It all has to do with criticism due to delays and the absence of Ahyeon, one of the group’s main vocalists. And things don’t end up here. Even though fans are eagerly waiting for BABYMONSTER performances, it looks like this won’t be happening for the time being.
YG Entertainment threw a curveball with a recent announcement, saying music shows aren’t on BABYMONSTER’s agenda. The decision has raised eyebrows among fans. Why? Well, performing in music shows is always on the to-do list for every group. Here’s what YG said:
“There is no fixed schedule for BABYMONSTER’s music broadcast appearances yet.”
We don’t know what this music agency is up to with their rookie group, but whatever it is, please give them the place they deserve as the talented princesses they are!
