Taylor Swift turned down King Charles III’s offer to perform at his coronation

King Charles III and Camilla Parker had such a joyous ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023. Several celebrities attended the royal coronation, however, the monarchs of the United Kingdom had difficulties regarding some performing acts.

Taylor Swift was one of the choices to perform in the royal ceremony, however, she rejected Buckingham Palace’s offer as many others did. Adele, Robbie Williams, Spice Girls, Harry Styles, and Elton John were tentative names for the offer as well, but they turned down the proposal.

Royal expert, Omid Soobie revealed new details about Taylor Swift’s proposal in his new book, “Endgame.” The expert didn’t embark on an elaborate decision but she notably had an “Eras tour” concert in Nashville the same day as the coronation occurred.

The British people strongly believe Swift declined the opportunity because she would have been directly related to the monarchy’s latest scandals at that time. Despite the difficulties, King Charles III and the whole royal family had a great time watching Katy Perry perform for them during their special day.
