On November 24th, 2023, it was announced that the Third Intermediate People’s Court of Beijing dismissed the appeal of Kris Wu, the former EXO member, sentencing him to 13 years in prison for sexual assault and group debauchery. The Canadian singer’s sentence must be served in China.
However, an order was issued stating that upon serving his sentence in the Asian country, the singer must be immediately deported to his country of origin, Canada, where they have specific policies of chemical castration for sex offenders, so it is possible that he will face such a measure.
Kris Wu's request to appeal his 13-year conviction for rape and mass indecency has been rejected by the No.3 Intermediate People's Court of Beijing.

The court stated that the former EXO member “acted as an organizer and participated in licentious activities, making him the main perpetrator of group debauchery” and also revealed that “Wu Yifan took advantage of most of the victims, as they were under the influence of alcohol, and took advantage of the situation to perform sexual acts, which constituted rape“.
There is repetitive behavior in Kris Wu, as in 2018 he was accused of engaging in unrestrained activities with two women in his home, and in 2020 he was charged with sexual assault against three women who were in his home intoxicated and used as sex objects.
