Recently a horror movie scandal is happening and is that Melissa, who came to the lead role in the movie Scream to play two films alongside Jenna Ortega, what they did not expect was that both artists would be leaving the project.
Although rumors indicated that Jenna Ortega would have left the project to support her friend, others indicate that it was scheduling problems, but the reality is that the films will have to change completely to make sense.
Scream director speaks out after Melissa Barrera’s firing
Although the actresses will not continue to be part of the project, it is likely that the film will continue even though the new artists are not there, but we could count on the return of the original actors of the Scream films.
Now, after all the scandals, the director of the new films has spoken about what was going on and what was his position on the matter. After Barrera’s ouster, Christopher Landon defended himself using his Twitter account. He claimed he had no control over the firing and deleted the post a few minutes later.
“Everything sucks Stop yelling at me. This was not my decision,” he wrote next to a broken heart emoji, as reported by “The New York Post”.
In a statement, the film studio Spyglass Media Group, in charge of the film project, explained the reasons for Barrera’s dismissal, emphasizing his intolerance of anti-Semitism and hate speech.
“We have zero tolerance for anti-Semitism or hate speech in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that blatantly crosses the line into hate speech,” he reported.
What do you think about it? Do you think they made the right decision to leave the movies? Do you think it’s a good idea for the project to continue?
Heartbroken.
