Yesterday, Buckingham Palace had major BLACKPINK vibes during the banquet King Charles hosted. This royal dinner took place to honor the visit of the South Korean President and the First to the United Kingdom. But this is where it gets spicy: BLACKPINK was among the list of roughly 100 attendees, and guess what? The king himself gave them a massive shout-out.
His Majesty prepared a speech where he talked about the nice relationship South Korea and the UK have had over the years. But then, BOOM! King Charles lll mentioned BLACKPINK, saying he admired them for mixing up their role as environmental advocates and global Kpop stars. Here’s what he said:
“I applaud Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé, better known collectively as BLACKPINK, for their role in bringing the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience.”
While there was only footage of the king speaking to the guests at the dinner event, we hadn’t seen the girls actually sitting down at their tables listening to his majesty, but now we have that clip!
As soon as King Charles pronounced their names, cameras at the event started focusing on them. Sadly, we couldn’t clearly see Lisa, but Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé were visibly hyped and totally over the moon. Take a look at their reaction here:

You can see the BLACKPINK girls turning around and trying to find each other at the tables. After their looks crossed, they started smiling softly (probably to avoid being too loud or noisy) but we can’t blame them! The King of England doesn’t tend to give massive shout-outs on a daily basis.
