The British royal family has admitted on multiple occasions that they have knowledge about the controversial Netflix series ‘The Crown‘ and this is their opinion about it. “Art“, were the words of King Charles III, as reported by journalist Kinsey Schofield, who also assured that the monarchs do not see this production as something biographical but as fiction.
The British newspaper Daily Express assured that the late Queen Elizabeth II had the opportunity to watch the first 10 episodes, but she disliked the way in which the relationship between Philip of Edinburgh and his son Charles was shown in this story recommended to her by the Earl of Wessex, her youngest son.
Other important members of the royal family who have shared their opinion regarding the series are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have made it clear that they have seen ‘The Crown’ many times and say that although it is not a biographical series as the same creator Peter Morgan said, it does have a bit of truth.
“It gives you an approximate idea of reality by showing the pressures that force you to put duty and service above everything else, including family, and what can come out of it“, said Prince Harry.
