The end of the year is around the corner, and Taylor Swift, Stray Kids, and TXT were part of it from start to end. It’s that time when we have to revisit some of their albums and look back at how much noise they made in the United States. These artists climbed positions month after month with their work, and Billboard is ready to let us know how it all went down.
This time we’ll be looking at the Top Album Sales chart, where Billboard ranks the best-selling albums of the year in the United States by pure sales! Spoiler alert: Taylor Swift and Kpop artists totally took over the ranking. This just goes to prove how much pop queen Taylor dominates the US and how much Kpop has been earning more popularity over the years.
So here are the facts: T-Swift takes the crown of the chart with her album “Midnights” at number one, followed by another one of her albums “Speak Now (Talyor’s Version)” at number two. Then, Stray Kids rock the number four spot with their album “5-STAR” and TXT follows them with “The Name Chapter: Temptation (EP)” at number five.
Here’s the full list for you to check all the names and revisit your favorite albums and mini-albums of 2023:
As you can see, other Taylor Swift albums such as “Folklore” and “Lover” made it to the top ten, and we’re also happy to see TWICE at the seventh spot with “Ready to Be.” That nice Kpop magic doesn’t stop there! SEVENTEEN also charted at #11 with “FML” and NewJeans got a very nice 12th spot thanks to “Get Up.”
A year packed with music from our faves!
