Miss Universe 2023, talks about her complexes and insecurities
We all live in a reality that can shock us, making us live different complexes, points of view, prejudices or insecurities that modify our perception of life and that is why it is important that the new Miss Universe dared to talk about what happens in her mind.
The model talked to Telemundo about her problems and insecurities before participating in the most recognized beauty pageant in the world in its 2023 edition.
“Another thing that made me very self-conscious for a long time was my skin color, which I love now. I love it because in school there were many girls who were lighter than me. So I used to say, ‘How come they don’t hang out with me? Because my skin color is like that,” Palacios said.
“In my country it’s not normal for me to be 1.77 or 1.80 cm tall, because it’s considered quite a big height. So it was typical for them to say to me, ‘Oh, how’s the air up there,'” she described.
“I’ll admit that at some point when I started getting stretch marks on my body I was like no, I want to have perfect skin, but it’s just that the skin takes a back seat,” the model detailed.
What do you think about it? Remember that if there is any time you need to talk, do not hesitate to tell the person you trust the most or you can call a helpline in your country.
