BTS’ Jungkook has become the clear reference of the Kpop industry when it comes to success. The idol released his highly-anticipated album, “GOLDEN” and started to write history. Jungkook gained the hearts of Americans in the last couple of months and the BBMAs were aware of it, as he won an award on Sunday, November 19.
The 2023 Billboard Music Awards were posted through updates on Billboard’s social channels. The winners and performances were revealed in a new format, where all the artists pre-recorded their performances instead of actually attending the show.
This year, there were four new categories exclusively for the Kpop genre, where the Golden Maknae was one of the night’s highlights. Jungkook was the only Korean soloist to take home an award: he won “Top Global K-pop Song” with “Seven” featuring Latto, which charted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 earlier in July.
BTS’ Jungkook shares a message expressing her emotions to his fans, better known as ARMY, where he started by stating it is hard to express gratitude in words, and he hoped everyone could enjoy “Seven” while he was recording it. He showed himself completely happy as he expressed it means a lot to him to win this category.
