We can all agree that Margot Robbie has been a big name this year! This blond sensation dazzled everyone with the main role in the Barbie movie, which became the highest-grossing film of 2023. Similarly, Britney Spears has been on everybody’s mind after dropping her memoir “The Woman In Me,” where she shares the good, bad, and ugly about her private life and career.
But how are these two superstars linked? Unfortunately, just rumors. Earlier this year, it was said that multiple studios were interested in adapting Brit’s book into a film or a TV project, but it does not seem very likely.
Quickly after this possibility came to light, fans and the media started speculating that Margot Robbie could be the perfect one to bring Britney Spears’ role to life, as the princess of pop is not interested in acting. The last time she had a major movie role was back in 2002 with “Crossroads.”
Now, all the possibilities regarding Margot playing the “…Baby One More Time” hitmaker are totally gone. She recently addressed the rumors at the 2023 Variety Power of Women in Los Angeles event. It turns out she wasn’t even aware of people thinking she could play that role! 
While displaying her gorg visuals on the red carpet, one of the journalists asked her the juicy question we all wanted an answer for: “It’s being reported that you’re one of the many wanting to turn The Woman In Me into an on-screen production. Is there any truth to that?”
“I’m just hearing that tonight, it’s not true,” Margot quickly responded.
The journalist insisted a little bit more and asked her if she would play Britney if it were true. The actress laughed and continued to say, “It’s not true.” So there you have it, pop lovers! These two blond sensations won’t be making a crossover anytime soon.
