The actors’ strike, which lasted more than 4 months, has had more repercussions than we could believe, as the industry was at a complete standstill, causing many series and movies that were destined to be released at a specific time to be affected.
Dune was one of the movies that was feared to be affected by the strike, but now something has happened that has caught the attention of all the fans of this universe and it seems that the release date has been modified.
Dune 2 brings forward its release date
After it was announced that Dune would have a second part, fans could not hide their great excitement and the first part was extremely shocking for the cinematic universe, to such an extent that people have asked for more and more and apparently, it would be much closer than we expected.
Although the sequel was scheduled to be released at the end of October, when the strikes were extended, it was evident that this plan was no longer beneficial for the company.
Now that the strikes have come to an end and everything seems to be getting back to normal, Warner Bros. Discovery has announced a new change in the release date for the sequel. Dune: Part Two was originally scheduled for release on March 15, 2024, but a report from The Hollywood Reporter reports that Universal moved the release of The Fall Guy, a David Leitch film starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, to May 3.
With the earlier release date, fans will be able to see the continuation of this story earlier than they were already thinking and with that, the ending with a third film will also be closer than we expect, because we are really looking forward to seeing Zendaya with more screen time.
What do you think about it? Will you see the second part of this iconic story? Did you like the first one?
