“The Eras Tour” by Taylor Swift kicked off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, yesterday, November 17th. Tragically, fan Ana Benevidez passed and approximately 1,000 concert-goers fainted. This was due to the extreme weather conditions and the poor logistics the T4T Entertainment company had while coordinating the show.
As a result, the Rio de Janeiro mayor, Eduardo Paes, announced new measures that the company must comply with for the upcoming shows of the “Eras Tour.” These come after the T4F banned fans from bringing in water bottles to the stadium, threw away their electric fans, and covered air vents, so people from the outside couldn’t see the concert.
The new measurements are the following:
- The anticipated entrance to the show by one hour to remove people from the sun.
- New water distribution points.
- Increased number of emergency responders.
- Increased number of ambulances.
In addition, the major addressed the passing of Ana Benevidez through his X profile. Here’s his statement translated from Portuguese:
“The loss of a young life yesterday at the show is unacceptable. We are still gathering more details about the circumstances of what happened. In any case, I have already instructed the Executive Chief of Operations of the city to demand action from the show’s production.”
