Taylor Swift pauses concert to hand free water to fans who were chanting for it in Brazil

Taylor Swift recently concluded her first date of the “Eras Tour” in Brazil. The pop star brought her spectacular show to Rio de Janeiro, where she has 2 more sold-out dates in the city on November 18 and 19, along with 3 more concerts in São Paulo.

However, the harsh weather conditions and the poor logistics made the first “Eras” show in the country a nightmare. First, a fan passed after having a cardiorespiratory arrest. Then, thousands fainted or suffered from dehydration due to the intense heat and the lack of free water supply.

The concerts, which are being held at the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium, are banning fans from bringing their own water bottles, so they can only purchase them inside the venue. As a result, some of them started chanting “water” in their language and then in English, so that they could be given a bottle by the logistics team.

Fortunately, Taylor Swift heard these concert-goers and stopped the show for a few moments. The singer noticed they were chanting so that they could get free water, and told the logistics team to hand them bottles. She said, “We don’t need to chant is totally fine, we just need to get water to them. Does anyone at all here have water?

It is clear politics have to be made so that people aren’t put in danger when going to a concert. In addition, water should not be banned from being brought to these events. Especially, considering the sweltering conditions and the fact that this is just done so that attendees are charged more for the liquid, making a profit out of this basic need.
