Taylor Swift: Brazilian politician Erika Hilton submitted a bill after the death of a fan in the Eras Tour

Taylor Swift recently performed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with the “Eras Tour.” Unfortunately, the lives of thousands of attendees were put at risk before and during the show. The saddest example of this was the passing of Ana Benevidez, who died after having a cardiac respiratory arrest. Similarly, thousands of fans suffered from dehydration and fainted.

These tragic situations have been attributed to the poor logistics the Brazilian production company, T4F, had. It has been confirmed that this company banned concert-goers from bringing in water bottles, threw away their electric fans, and covered the air vents of the venue so that people from the outside couldn’t see the show.

As a result, Brazilian politician, Erika Hilton, decided to report T4F to the Federal Public Ministry. She stated that the decision to prohibit fans from having their own water bottles was “criminal” and said the company must be held accountable for its actions.

In addition, Hilton submitted a bill that makes it “mandatory” to provide free water at concerts. In addition, event organizers must install drinking fountains in accessible areas for attendees. Lastly, the bill seeks to punish companies for not letting concert-goers enter with water for personal consumption.
