BTS is one of the biggest boybands of all time, and they have redefined the Kpop scene since their debut in 2013. The idols have always been the talk of the town. However, this time the viral news caused commotion among the K-netizens, particularly, BTS fans, better known as ARMY.
K-Netizens quickly noticed a now-deleted news report, which stated that the seven members of BTS had sold all of their HYBE stock. This news brought mass confusion, as BTS recently signed new contracts with the music agency, and this had no sense coming from media outlets.
HYBE had to act quickly to clear up the rumors and clarify the current situation in a report to Yonhap News. The short statement started by addressing the alleged sold stocks, which was completely false. However, they explained that their shareholder contract with Bang Si Hyuk has ended and this, will no longer be considered special related parties.
HYBE ended its statement by assuring this has nothing to do with stock sales or changes in the stock. ARMY expressed their feelings as they felt relief, because there’s nothing wrong with their contracts, and also expressed they cannot wait until the boys reunite once their military duties with the South Korean army are fulfilled.
