Warner saddened the public by announcing the cancellation of ‘Coyote vs. Acme‘; however, recently, a new opportunity for the film has arisen since the renowned production company authorized the sale of its rights and, with this, the possibility of its release.
This production, based on the iconic Looney Toons characters, will follow the story of how the famous Coyote and a human lawyer join forces to sue Acme, the company that has complicated the life of the animated character in his quest for the roadrunner.
The current CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav, told Deadline that he has decided to put the production, starring Will Forte as Wile E. Coyote’s attorney, John Cena as Acme Corporation’s CEO, and actress Lana Condor, up for sale for approximately $700 million and cash in on his investment.
In addition, although it has not been confirmed, some reports indicate that this production has Netflix, Apple, and Amazon Prime Video as its possible main buyers. Being these the most popular streaming platforms of the moment, it is a fact that this production will have a great reach to be produced by one of them.
