BLACKPINK‘s agency, YG Entertainment, is currently promoting its upcoming girl group, “BABYMONSTER.” The debut came with a dose of drama, as it was delayed two times because they were “carefully” choosing the right song for the group.
That’s now in the past and BABYMONSTER is set to debut this month, but plot twist! Even before the girl band drops their first official track, YG reported one of them won’t debut.
In the midst of some dazzling visual teasers for the group’s debut (with members Chiquita and Asa having their own so far) the agency confirmed Ahyeon will no longer debut with BABYMONSTER. The reason? She will be getting rest and recovering due to health reasons. This is what YG Entertainment had to say:
“Although we are saddened to be unable to introduce Ahyeon as a member of BABYMONSTER, we made this decision for the sake of the artist’s health.”
So now, BABYMONSTER will be debuting as a 6-member group with Chiquita, Asa, Pharita, Rora, Haram and Ruka on November 27th. We’re yet to see if Ahyeon will get a chance to join these girls later down the line.
