Get ready, binge-watchers! Netflix‘s mega-popular series, “Wednesday” is preparing for a fresh start with season 2, and guess what? The show is packing its bags to go to Ireland. That’s right! The Addams Family is swapping the Romanian mystery of season 1 for some Irish charm.
With production to kick off in late April next year, Wednesday is having a fresh new setting and different vibes for its adventure. Not to mention, the series totally turned their previous location, Romania, into the hottest tourist spot. The same move will probably take place in Ireland, turning the island into Wednesday-land.
So, why the change? While Wednesday totally showed Romania’s charm, it wasn’t all super smooth when it came down to logistics. For that reason, once the first season wrapped up, the whispers about a need for a new filming spot became a reality! Once the Netflix show got the green light for another season, Ireland pretty much became its next home.
At this point, you might be thinking, “So what are we seeing on Wednesday?” Unfortunately, the plot details are still hidden. However, we know the main actors from season 1 are very likely to return, including queen Jenna Ortega. Word on the street (and the Internet) says the show would deviate from the teenage dream love kind of thing and put on a stronger dose of horror. Talk about a change-up!
So, are you ready for some Wednesday spooky vibes in Ireland? Tim Burton is also more than likely a confirmed name for the direction of the show, so that’s how we know it’s going to be a good one.
