During the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, King Charles III breaks down in tears as he remembers his parents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, who were honored with statues as part of the Remembrance Day ceremony.
This event is intended to recognize all those who have sacrificed their lives to serve and protect the Commonwealth. It was King Charles III who revealed the statue of his mother Elizabeth II, who will be remembered for her valuable work for the United Kingdom, and the current Queen Camilla did the honors of presenting the statue of her father-in-law Philip.
During the unveiling of the commemorative statues, the monarch showed his pride in his parents and couldn’t stop crying. Prince William and Kate Middleton also showed their respect by attending the ceremony, as did Prince Edward with the Duchess of Edinburgh and Princess Anne, as well as Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.
For their part, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not present to accompany the royal family at the ceremony; however, they celebrated Veterans Day in the United States by visiting Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California.
