George Clooney didn’t trust the actors’ strike

Recently, good news for the entertainment industry is that after more than 4 months on strike, the actors managed to reach an agreement with the studios to improve the quality of their work.

Many actors joined the strike, walking the streets of Hollywood and demanding more quality in their profession, as well as more respect for their pay and the future that technology can show us. Unfortunately, not all the actors felt the same way, let alone trusted that a good agreement would be reached.

George Clooney did not trust the actors’ strike.

Recently the actors’ strike reached an agreement with the studios and this caused everyone to celebrate, especially Fran Drescher, who was the face of the movement:

“It was a great relief and liberation. I felt like one of those tennis stars, like Djokovic when he won the US Open and fell to his knees and cried on the court.”

Although SAG-AFTRA members have yet to ratify the contract, the strike officially ended early Thursday morning. The expected agreement with the studios includes a new method of streaming compensation, an increase in actors’ minimum wage and limitations on the use of AI.

One thing that got a lot of attention was the kind of support he received from big-name actors like George Clooney:

“I would have bet my house (and lost) that you wouldn’t have gotten the deal you got.”

Then the actress commented that Clooney was very kind and supportive of big famous celebrities supporting the movement, with relevant names such as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper, Tyler Perry and Emma Stone, Laura Dern and Kerry Washington, Meryl Streep, Robert De Niro and Scarlett Johansson.
