The 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony is coming up, and due to their recent solo releases, these BTS members competed to be nominated for best album of the year at the prestigious awards, which will be held on February 4th next year and will take place in Los Angeles, California.
Four names of the seven members of BTS could be seen in the live broadcast that The Recording Academy made through its official website, where the names of the nominees for each category of the prestigious awards were revealed one by one.
In addition, Bang Si Hyuk, President of Hybe Corporation and founder of BIGHIT MUSIC, confirmed the submission of the Korean artists’ productions in the important category ‘Best Album of the Year‘, and on November 10th, it was revealed with which discography each BTS member would participate.
J-Hope applied for the award with his album ‘Jack in the Box’, which was released on July 15th, 2022, and conquered the top 100 of the Billboard 200, while Jimin applied for his album titled ‘FACE’, which managed to get a song into the prestigious Hot 100 chart.
RM also presented his album ‘Indigo’ that was released on December 2nd, 2022, which managed to rank No. 3 on the top Billboard 200, as well as Suga‘s album titled ‘D-Day’ released on April 21st this year, which took second place on the important album chart.
