Stray Kids have definitely smashed the Kpop game this year. First, they released their album “5-STAR,” along with the fierce song “S-Class,” which topped charts across the globe and earned them a VMA. Now, the Stray Kids gang is making moves with new music, and we’ve got the numbers they could be getting in the United States.
So, get ready, STAY (that’s the name Stray Kids wear proudly) because these Kpop kings might be getting their best result in America so far. It’s all thanks to their majestic mini-album “ROCK-STAR.” With this EP, they could be debuting at the number one spot on the Billboard 200, which is the chart that ranks albums in the country.
Now, these are the official numbers: after one day of sales and streams, Hits Daily Double spilled the tea, saying that the 8-piece boy band could be moving 225,000 to 250,000 copies of “ROCK-STAR.” This, of course, would count for the opening week of the mini-album in the United States.
However, the way to the top is not completely free for our guys. There are other powerhouse names in the chart, such as Jungkook and Taylor Swift, who have also sold thousands of copies of “GOLDEN” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” respectively.
Still, Stray Kids are not strangers to getting amazing results on the Billboard 200. Their past album “5-STAR” was able to sell 249,000 copies back in June. So, if SKZ can hit predictions right and move 250,000 copies, they’d be breaking their own record on the chart. “ROCK-STAR” could become their best-selling record in the country.
