Due to the high demand that is emerging in the K-Pop industry, there are more and more new groups, as well as younger idols such as SHINee‘s Taemin, who confesses that he regrets making his debut at such a young age. This has become a bit controversial on the networks and has been a cause for debate.
SHINee’s Taemin was one of the first idols in the industry to make his debut under the age of 15. Recently, his groupmate Minho asked him this deep question: “If you had the chance to go back to when you debuted, would you debut in your third year of high school or when you were an adult?“, to which he gave a clear answer.
Minho ➡️ Taemin : if you could go back to (pick when) your debut day; debuting on 3rd grade middle school or when you already an adult?
Taemin : honestly i think it’d be when i become adult only if i can debut with my members (as it is). Because the things we went through… pic.twitter.com/tdK8QoUilK

“Honestly, I think I would prefer to debut as an adult, on the condition that I can do it again with the same groupmates“, Taemin answered, making it clear that the best thing that happened to him when he debuted were the members and that he would not change them for anything since they are fundamental to him.
The singer also commented, “There are things that we have to experience at certain ages, but looking back, the boys and I didn’t have the chance to experience certain things, like going on school trips or becoming class president“, explaining that it is not easy to be an idol at such a young age and that it requires a lot of sacrifices.
