Nia DaCosta is a very interesting film director who has been making her way through the entertainment industry, with a very interesting proposal that critics are praising, especially thanks to the creation of a Marvel movie that is being well received, despite being in a very bad moment for superheroes.
Hearing good news about The Marvels is certainly a surprise, as people didn’t see it as having much of a future, let alone the news of the film’s short length, but now, even that has been highly praised, indicating that Nia’s work has been worth it.
The Marvels reviews are positive, we could have a new Marvel breakthrough
Many entertainment sites have already shared their first reactions of the new movie starring Brie Larsen and these are some of the most striking ones:
Clayton Davis- Variety: “The Marvels worked for me. The female Avengers came together in a movie with laughs, cats, hairballs and musical sequences. Much more episodic than a cinematic effort, but I think that’s its greatest strength. Excellent post-credits scene. Loved the trio of leads. Great visuals – Jersey City represents!”.
Nate Richard- Collider: “I went to see The Marvels with very low expectations and it wasn’t bad at all. Inam Vellani and Teyonah Parris are the highlights. I love their chemistry with Brie Larson. Unfortunately, the story is a big mess with an underused villain and a disappointing ending.”
Herb Scribner- The Washington Post: “This movie is a lot of fun and is exactly what a comic book movie should be. It’s funny, laugh-out-loud funny, short and sweet, full of action. I loved the cosmic sci-fi moments. Very connected to the MCU without being overbearing. We’ll be talking about this movie for years to come.”
What do you think about it? Do you think the words of the critics are justified or is it an exaggeration of the content?
