Sabrina Carpenter literally took us to Church in her most recent video, “Feather.” Even though our pop princess has some undeniable bops, this time it wasn’t the music that put her in the center of attention. Actually, all this religious drama comes from the MV for her latest single. The reason? She seemingly desecrated a Brooklyn church!
Even though the lyrics for “Feather” talk about dumping that toxic ex and putting an end to a bad relationship, the pop star went for something less literal in the music video. In the clip, we can see her walking down the street, going to a gym, or looking gorg in an elevator.
But wait, what do they all have in common? It’s men who are acting like huge stalkers in every scene, getting Sabrina’s nerves. So, she’s totally giving them a taste of their bad behavior in the MV, punishing them for acting that way towards her.
But wait, here’s where things get juicy: at some point in the video, we can see her strutting like a queen at a church, wearing some fab high heels, a black dress, a black veil, and dancing in the Virgin Mary altar. However, religious members weren’t so happy with the visuals she displayed!
Get this fact: Bishop Robert Brennan himself had to step in and preside over a “Mass of Reparation at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Church”. According to the Bishop, the sanctity of this place was recovered, and the harm Sabrina caused with her fierce moves and sexy look was repaired.
