The British royal family has acquired a bad image after it became known that the ex-husband of Queen Camilla allowed her to have an alternate relationship with King Charles III. This, as strange as it may seem, is a reality because, in the beginning, these monarchs did not have a formal relationship; they were lovers.
Andrew Bowles was the husband of Camilla Parker in 1973. Their relationship lasted about 20 years; however, it was not a monogamous marriage, as both frequently had encounters and affairs with other people. It was for this reason that King Charles had no problem starting a romantic relationship with Parker.
On the other hand, Andrew always knew that his marriage was a mistake because she actually loved the now monarch, so they reached an agreement where each could have an alternate romance, and although Charles also claimed his love for Camilla, he was married to Princess Diana and wanted to keep it a secret.
Bowles and Camilla formalized their divorce in 1994 but still maintain a friendly relationship; even Andrew attended the official coronation of the Queen on May 6th to show his support, as well as being seen at the wedding ceremony years ago.
