BTS’ V has been widely popular not only for his undeniable talent but for his bop. These attributes made him debut at No.2 on the Billboard 200, back in September, with his debut album. After a couple of months, “Layover,” has established a new record for the K-pop genre in the American market.
Taehyung has become the first K-pop solo artist to spend seven consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200. This amazing record lies in the fact that “Layover” hasn’t dropped off the chart since its release on September 8, 2023. In the week ending on November 4, V’s album has remained on the chart at No. 160.
Undeniably, this record solidifies V’s career overseas as he is greatly received in the United States and the charts demonstrate it. In addition, Taehyung’s title track, “Slow Dancing” rose to No. 54 on the Global 200.
BTS’ V’s “Layover” is expected to extend its record as the album keeps being hugely streamed and well received by V’s American fans. You can watch the “Slow Dancing” music video to celebrate this amazing record.
