BTS‘ Jungkook is one of the most beloved and famous idols in the K-pop scene nowadays, since the start of his solo career, with “Seven,” he met success and critical acclaim. After this single, Jungkook released his highly-anticipated debut album, “GOLDEN” which is entirely in English and the K-netizens showed their discontent.
K-Netizens brought up this issue after the Golden Maknae released “Seven” and “3D” because they are not fans of him releasing music entirely in English. Despite this emerging tradition of bringing English lyrics into the K-pop genre, some fans are not completely convinced about it and stated he is pandering to the United States market exclusively.
Jungkook quickly cleared the situation in a convo with PICKCON, where he stated he was prepared for the overseas market and for this reason, every song chosen was in English. The idol wanted to challenge himself for his debut album, so he broke the language barrier and started singing in English to show another part of his artistry.
BTS’ Jungkook wanted to address his fans’ concerns, better known as the ARMY, whether he was only going to release songs in English from now on. Then, Jungkook explained he wanted to present a Korean language song as soon as he had the opportunity and asked the ARMY to look forward to it.
