‘The Marvels’ director confesses the reason why she chose Park Seo Joon to play Prince Yan

In a recent interview, the director of the upcoming Marvel superhero franchise shared the real reason behind her choice of K-Drama actor Park Seo Joon to play one of the main characters of this production titled ‘The Marvels‘, Prince Yan.

The South Korean is a very popular actor in his country, and with his good performances, he has managed to catch the attention of the director, who decided to give him the opportunity to be an important part of the highly anticipated production, which has kept many of his fans excited.

In conversations with Cine21, director Nia Dacosta shared how she became interested in the actor. She revealed that in her teenage years she used to be a big fan of K-Dramas, and a short while ago she was recommended ‘Itaewon Class’ starring Seo Joon and was impressed with his acting.

“Park looked really great in the drama. Then I started watching other works of his and remembered his name“, so when she took on the Marvel project, he had already impressed her, and she said, “While I was thinking who could be the right one to play Prince Yan, Park Seo Joon came to mind“.
