Chinese pop group (or C-pop) WayV has been pretty quiet this year. The “Love Talk” hitmakers had only released “Welcome To My Paradise” back in May last year, and if we want to trace another music release, we’d have to go back all the way to 2022 with their mini-album “Phantom.”
But plot twist! Wait is over now for WayZenni (that’s the name WayV fans wear proudly). The group composed of members Ten, Yangyang, Xiaojung, Winwin, Hendery and Kun have finally returned to the spotlight! The 6-piece group dropped their second studio album, “On My Youth.”

The album has 9 brand-new tracks in total, along with the English version of the main single, “On My Youth,” as the tenth song in the list. Sonically, the group keeps experimenting with that R&B and hip-hop-oriented sound, along with some splashes of Kpop in between.
But why Kpop, isn’t WayV a Chinese group? And you would be right, the guys promote in China and sing in Mandarin, but they were put together by SM Entertainment (a South Korean country). For some context, they are also part of the NCT family, being the Chinese folks of the batch!
Also, they never miss the opportunity to perform in South Korean music shows – as they should, considering their vocals, dancing, and visuals! For that reason, it wouldn’t be too crazy to think WayV could bless our eyes (and ears) with a performance of their current single, and who knows, maybe one of the album tracks? For now, catch “On My Youth” here:
