One of the movies that have become more iconic is undoubtedly Nightmare Before Christmas, a Disney children’s movie that shows us the land of Halloween, where we will see monsters and creepy creatures that we didn’t used to popularize as children’s entertainment.
What Jack has achieved worldwide is a precedent, as he became the image of Halloween but yes, also of Christmas, joining two completely different festivities, but ultimately, fascinating. Now, believe it or not, the movie is 30 years old and it has been celebrated.

“I think Tim (Burton) in particular feels that why touch that? He certainly doesn’t need to make more money with a sequel. He’s had so many other successes and so far no one has come up with a great idea for a sequel. And I still think Tim has the final say. I don’t think there’s an idea that will convince him,” said the director.
As the quote indicates, that’s a fun fact about the movie, because no, it wasn’t directed by Tim Burton, but the famous director did have his eye on the production of the great movie. The director of the film we all know is Henry Selick, who has also directed films like Coraline.
In 1994, the film received an Oscar nomination in the category of Best Visual Effects, while at the Academy Awards for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror, USA won Best Music and Best Fantasy Film.
Everyone is already looking forward to the upcoming festivities, as we have seen more than once the movie with live music, making those songs become extremely iconic, to the extent where even artists like Billie Eilish have been invited to sing them live.
What do you think about it? Do you like the movie or do you prefer another one with Tim Burton’s aesthetics?
