Prince William will make his presence in Singapore on November 7th, with the intention of sharing the first speech of the night at the honorable Earthshot Awards, where they are responsible for recognizing and honoring entities or people who work for the benefit of the environment.
This time the Duke will not enjoy the presence of his wife, the Princess of Wales, but instead will have the company of the Australian actress and twice-winner of the Oscar, Cate Blanchett, who has shown interest in this initiative for a long time and will have a chance to be one of the hosts of the event.
The protagonist of ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ shared her emotion when invited to the event, saying, “These are simple and possible contributions that change the rules of the game. I feel very proud to be a small part of this important appointment for the health of the planet“.
The Prince of Wales and the actress had previously talked about climate change. In April of the year 2022, the interpreter conducted an interview with King Charles III’s eldest son for the Climate of Change Audible Platform, Amazon, where they commented on the importance of taking care of the earth.
In that episode, we can also hear William confess that his late grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, and his father, the current King of England, instilled values that led him to worry about this kind of matter from a very early age, which demonstrates his commitment to the cause.
NEW: The third Earthshot Prize Awards will be hosted by Hannah Waddingham in Singapore on Nov 7th. Also making appearances will be Bastille, Cate Blanchett, Lana Condor, Robert Irwin, Nomzamo Mbatha and OneRepublic 🌍

In each edition, there are 5 winners who are rigorously selected under five key objectives. The ideas should help to protect and restore nature, fix the climate, clean our air, recover the oceans, and build a waste-free world. Each winner will receive a check for 1,176,000 euros.
