LE SSERAFIM’s Chaewon addresses rumors about drug investigation

Kim Chaewon from the K-Pop girlgroup LE SSERAFIM has recently been involved in rumors of illicit substance use circulating through social networks. These speculations got stronger when the singer’s absence was noted in recent days.

It was rumored that the singer was being investigated under the charge of drug abuse, for which they had to cancel her concert on October 7th and 8th in Bangkok. However, this theory lost all credibility when, on October 26th, the company issued a statement.

The agency behind LE SSERAFIM, Source Music, explained in a recent announcement the reasons for Chaewon’s absence by putting an end to the rumors by reporting that the idol is completely innocent and she is not alien to all the scandals that are emerging around the industry.

The information shared by Source Music made clear that all rumors surrounding Kim Chaewon are completely false: “she is currently recovering from the effects of the flu. Kim Chaewon will return to his activities on November 1st“, hoping that this will put an end to all defamation.

On October 25th, G-Dragon was officially booked without arrest under the charge of consumption of illegal psychotropic substances. Since then, there have been a lot of theories and rumors on the part of Internet users that link this case with other idols, affecting the image of the singers.

The police agency revealed that “there is no other singer or figure of public interest that is being investigated or that is related to the drug case for which G-Dragon is accused“, thus discarding all the defamation that has been created around the K-Pop industry.
