Kevin Feige is a film producer who, in 2007, became president of one of the largest film studios, Marvel. On September 5th, the UCM book was launched, which would clarify many doubts for cinephiles who follow this franchise, where it was revealed that two people were banned from it.
In this book, we can find a lot of important information regarding what happens in the Marvel universe and details about his long road to success, all without omitting data such as the banned that Feige put on Edward Norton, the actor who gave life for the first time to Bruce Banner in ‘The Incredible Hulk’, and to director Joss Whedon.
In the case of Norton, his attitude towards the creative team and the rest of the cast was not pleasant; he created a very tense atmosphere; he tried to make changes during filming since he wanted to give a darker touch to the film; and just before filming ‘The Avengers’, the president issued a press release.
The announcement reported the actor’s departure: “We have made the decision not to bring back Edward Norton to play the titular role of Bruce Banner in ‘The Avengers’“, also clarifying the rumors. “Our decision is definitely not based on monetary factors“.
Kevin explained that “The Avengers require performers who thrive working as part of an ensemble, as demonstrated by Robert D. Jr., Chris H., Chris E., Sam, Scarlett J., and all of our talented cast“, making it known that the initial problem was the attitude Edward showed.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Mark Ruffalo and he’s great as Bruce/Hulk! But it’s the way Kevin Feige decided the way forwards was to drag Edward Norton through the mud with false assumptions about how he’d be in a group cast. He’s since done MULTIPLE films as part of an ensemble. pic.twitter.com/bm2pmhrVGb

For his part, director Joss Whedon became an ungrateful person for the president of the company due to his constant controversies. He has been accused by great stars such as Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, and Ben Affleck of having a very conflictive and unkind attitude with actors.
What do you think of this decision by Kevin Feige to ban this artist?
