Frankenweenie, the movie comes to the forefront again from Disney and shows us a rather dark way of telling the relationship that a boy has with his little pet and what he is willing to do to be with his best friend much longer.
Frankenweenie, Film based on the homonymous short film that Burton himself made in 1984. The scientific experiment carried out by little Victor to resurrect his beloved dog Sparky, will force him to face terrible situations whose consequences are unpredictable.
“Definitely, for me, it’s the perfect Disney movie. It’s interesting how parents forget that. If you look back, movies like Bambi, where you deal with death, wouldn’t be Disney if they didn’t have that element. That’s what inspired me since I was young: I didn’t know anything about death or anything like that; the doctor would tell me ‘your dog is not going to live very long’ and that made me cold and I didn’t understand anything, but it left me thinking… I only knew about death from my friends or what I saw in movies. For me, the perfect mix is to make films that are personal and loveable… Besides, that’s the beauty of stop motion, it’s like puppets; it has an antique feel and it’s very beautiful. The puppets are beautiful!” The director told La Jornada newspaper.
What do you think about it? Do you like the recommended movie? Which other movie of the famous director do you like?
