The renowned director Martin Scorsese, on October 19th, launched his new film, which is called ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, with world-class lead actors Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert De Niro, who have previously worked with the filmmaker.
However, through an interview for ‘The Telegraph‘, Scorsese revealed some details about the recording process and the differences between De Niro and Dicaprio. Both are very professional, but each one has a different technique to carry out their work, which makes the other uncomfortable.
Martin commented that the interpreter of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, with whom he has worked six times before, was more inclined to the improvisation method, to a point that was “infinite, endless“, he revealed, and said, “Every once in a while, Bob and I would look at each other and roll our eyes“.
It all depends on perspective, and the cinematographer shared what his position was, filling Dicaprio with praise: “Leo is willing to do many things“, referring to the passion and commitment that the actor dedicates to each project, always delivering his best.
On the other hand, the 80-year-old veteran actor, Robert De Niro, showed himself with a more serious attitude, even trying not to talk much, which allows him to focus on his script to do everything perfectly, a method that works for him wonderfully, as you can tell by his impeccable and successful career.
Although they did not share the same acting techniques, the entire cast managed to achieve a perfect result, achieving a worldwide box office success of 44 million dollars with this film. This will be another work that will stand out in the filmography of the great Martin Scorsese.
Based in the 1920s, this story follows a group of natives from Osage County, Oklahoma, who are murdered after discovering oil on their land, so the FBI will intervene and look for the criminals responsible for carrying out such crimes.
