Last weekend, pop queen Olivia Rodrigo announced a surprise show in Los Angeles, United States, scheduled for October 9. The latest gig our superstar did took place at Ace Hotel’s theater in downtown LA. It was all about that intimate vibe and only for selected buyers, as tickets were $25 and available for people with those juicy American Express cards.
But don’t panic! We know a $25 show sells out super fast, and that’s why we have the hottest tea our vocal queen spilled with her audience at the show, which saw her belting out the hits from her second studio album “GUTS,” in front of an audience for the very first time.
Now get ready for this flipping hot tea: Olivia Rodrigo revealed some of the making of bits of her album – and we’re loving these reveals. First, she said the process for the smash and Grammy-worthy song, “Vampire,” was full of cuts and versions. In fact, she recorded not two, but TWENTY versions of this hit until it felt just right to put it out.
Our emotional queen also admitted that she cried real tears during the making of GUTS. Olivia revealed she was feeling that pressure from her first album, Sour. being such a smash hit and had thoughts of flopping with this new one – which is of course not the case, look at the charts, boy!
Hope you’re thirsty for more tea because there’s more where that came from: the “Driver’s License” singer also admitted to having some fave girls on her album and explained the reasons why. She said “all american b*tch” and “teenage dream” are her clear choices because of their iconic bridges – and we couldn’t agree more.
The live performances are now on YouTube! So let us know if you’re vibing with them.
