NMIXX’s Jinni addressed departure over album showcase

NMIXX met success since their debut in 2022 after the girls hit the jackpot scoring a deal as the first group of global ambassadors for the luxury Spanish fashion house, Loewe which had numerous commitments with the brand during 2023. However, NMIXX’s Jinni quit after a couple of days of the announcement and sparked controversy around the world which was already addressed over her album showcase.

NMIXX’s music agency, JYP Entertainment announced that Jini would be leaving the group due to “Personal circumstances” which were not explained and they didn’t give any further details. Jini was in charge of clarifying the situation.

On October 11, Jinni had a convo with Korean media outlets in order to promote the release of her first mini-album, “An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove.” One of the interviewers directly asked Jinni about her departure from NMIXX which she answered:

“It’s hard to reveal the reason in detail. Also, that is a personal question. Right now, this is a place for her to showcase her album. It is hard for me to tell you as it is for personal reasons, but I am ready to promote diligently during my solo debut.”

Despite she started her solo career, numerous fans are still curious why she truly left the group. However, they keep supporting Jini no matter what which Jini is incredibly thankful.

“First, I want to thank the fans who have been waiting for me. I want to tell them that I would like to make many memories with them. I will show you a better side of me, and I ask for your anticipation.”
