20 years after the incredible success of the Nickelodeon series ‘iCarly‘, the streaming platform Paramount+ has decided to launch a revival that brought joy to all fans of this 2007 production showing the new lives of each of the characters.
Although this revival sitcom series that premiered its first season in 2021 had a good reception on the streaming service, which even had three installments, the company has decided to cancel the continuation of this story.
According to the well-known media Entertainment Weekly, shortly after the Hollywood writers and actors’ strike ended, Paramount+ decided to suddenly cancel the continuation of this series that was starred the same actors of the original production; Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress.
“We want to thank the entire cast, writers, directors and producers along with the entire team for their dedication, creativity and talent“, the company commented at the same time as breaking the news of the cancellation.
This news was not very well received by fans because despite having ended in its third and final installment at a good time for the protagonists, it left cliffhanger ending with some of its stories, which has left viewers with any doubts.
For his part, Nathan Kress, a member of the main cast of the series, shared a farewell message on his social networks and thanked them for all the support, in addition to alluding to the unfinished ending they had to give to this production.
“We had a lot of story left to tell, and we were excited to give them the ending they deserved. No one wanted this to end on a cliffhanger.
Maybe somehow, someday, we’ll figure out how to end the story.
Much love, friends“.
Thank you all for your kindness, love, and undying support for these past 3 seasons. I'm so grateful that we were given an opportunity to bring you this story… and I especially want to thank our amazing crew, writers, and my castmates for the greatest workplace and creative…
